Rabintex new light Helmet, developed for special units, law enforcement forces,
antiterror combatants and infantry corps.

The 'Attack' is the lightest IIIA helmet ever produced and an additional improvement
of the 'Mitch', the newly developed US Army Helmet. Already in use by the IDF.

1.     GENERAL  

1.1         THIS SPECIFICATION DEFINES THE TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF A
HELMET FOR HEAD PROTECTION AGAINST IMPACT AND BALLISTIC HAZARDS. THE “ATTACK” IS
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR USE BY GROUND TROOPS, POLICE FORCES & SPECIAL UNITS. 

1.2         THE HELMET SHELL IS OF MULTI-LAYER CONSTRUCTION. THE LAYERS ARE A COMBINATION OF
BALLISTIC ARAMIDE. 

1.3         THE ATTACK HAS AN INNOVATIVE AND COMFORTABLE HARNESS ASSEMBLY, HEADBAND
AND CHIN STRAP, ALL DESIGNED TO REDUCE THE EFFECT OF THE IMPACT ON THE
USER’S HEAD AND TO ENABLE PROPER VENTILATION. 

1.4         THE HELMET IS MANUFACTURED IN TWO SIZES: MEDIUM AND LARGE. THE SIZE AND HARSHNESS
OF THE HELMET SHOULD ALLOW FLEXIBILITY IN HEAD SIZE, FACILITATING ADJUSTMENT FOR ALL USERS. 

2.               THE HELMET AND ITS COMPONENTS 

2.1.         THE SHELL HAS A NEW SHAPE. 

2.2.         THE SHELL’S THICKNESS WILL BE 5.5 + 0.2 (MEASURING SHELL ONLY AFTER PAINT REMOVAL).

3.        CONSTRUCTION OF THE SHELL 

3.1.         THE SHELL WILL BE MANUFACTURED BY CAREFULLY ARRANGED SHAPED CUTS OF THE MATERIALS
CONFORMING TO THE SHELL’S SHAPE. 

3.2.         THE MATERIAL OF THE SHELL WILL BE OF A HYBRID OF BALLISTIC ARAMID FABRICS. 

4.               PROCESSING THE SHELL 

4.1.         THE SHELL EDGE WILL BE CUT AS AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE MOLDING PROCESS. 

4.2.         THE EDGE PROFILE, MADE OF NEOPRENE RUBBER, WILL BE ADHERED IN A FORM THAT IT WILL
ENABLE COUPLING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE REAR SIDE. 

5.               COLOR 

5.1.         THE HELMET’S SHELL SHALL BE PAINTED DIRECTLY WITH ANY COLOR, INCLUDING “CAMOUFLAGE”,
ACCORDING TO THE CLIENT’S REQUEST.
 

6.                PROTECTION AND DURABILITY OF THE COMPLETED HELMET 

6.1.         BALLISTIC PERFORMANCE: THE ATTACK WAS TESTED AND APPROVED BY THE H. P. WHITE
LABORATORY, ACCORDING TO STANDARD NIJ 0106.01 LEVEL IIIA. THE HELMET MUST STOP 9MM FMJ
BULLETS, 124 GRAIN, AT 426 M/SEC, AND 0.44 MAGNUM, 240GRAIN, AT 426 M/SEC. 

6.2.         V50 OF 2 GRAIN RCC ACCORDING TO MIL STD 662F, NOT LESS THAN 3800 FT/SEC. 

6.3.         MAXIMUM WEIGHT OF THE COMPLETED HELMET WITH ALL ACCESSORIES IS 970 GRAMS FOR MEDIUM SIZE. 

7.               OPTIONAL FACE GUARD 

EACH HELMET CAN INCLUDE (BY SPECIFIC REQUEST OF THE CUSTOMER) THE CONNECTING POINT FOR
ADDITION OF A FACE GUARD.  THE FACE GUARD, WHEN NEEDED, SHALL BE FIXED IN PLACE BY A SIMPLE
METHOD OF SCREWS, ONE ON EACH SIDE, DESIGNED TO BE CLOSED BY THE USER WITHOUT REQUIRING
ANY TOOLS.  TWO TYPES OF FACE GUARDS ARE AVAILABLE: 

7.1.         A NON-BALLISTIC 4MM TRANSPARENT FACE GUARD FOR IMPACT; 

7.2.         A BALLISTIC VISOR WITH A WEIGHT OF NO MORE THAN 1500 gr., INCLUDING ALL ACCESSORIES, WITH
BALLISTIC PERFORMANCE TO STOP A 9 MM FMJ BULLET, WEIGHT 8 GR., VELOCITY OF 332 METERS PER SECOND.
