Surgical Hemorrhage Control Kit

                  

The Surgical Hemorrhage Control Kit is a requirements-based product designed specifically to
meet the needs of the ever-expanding skill-set of the SOF medic. The original kit was developed
and packed for deep vascular access and ligation in austere environments, and to be a more
versatile, organized alternative to the standard issue surgical set. This kit is now available custom
packed to meet your needs. The contens of the kit can be adjusted to match virtually any skill level
required for field emergency surgical procedures.

                                                    Surgical Airway kit

Surgical airway kit provides the items essential to successfully establish and secure a surgical
airway in any environment. All of the necessary components are neatly vacuum packed for
easy storage and maximum accessibility.

Contents of the kit include:
-Tracheostomy tube (cuffed)
-Scalpel
-10ml syringe
-Serpent wrap
-Alcohol swabs
-Gloves

                                                 ARS® for Needle Decompression



For the upgraded ARS™ for Needle Decompression (3.25") the best minds in the field were applied
to the best available data. The result? Patented design improves the probability of success when
managing casualties who present with signs and symptoms of a tension pneumothorax.

To achieve this enda two-year collaboration with pre-hospital providers was participated. Data was continuously
analyzed obtained from ongoing combat operations for patients whose symptoms suggested a collapsed
lung (difficulty in breathing, chest drains, etc.). The Analytical Thinking, Evidence-based Medicine and Human
Factors™ engineering model were applied to identify inherent survival stress behaviors.

Failsafe characteristics were incorporated into the product design. For example, an easy-open container
protects the needle from damage during deployment. Also, we removed the flash cap from the needle system
to allow immediate confirmation of placement.

                                                           Tracheal Hook

                        


The Tracheal Hook is a modified Jackson Tenaculum with an improved steep angled retractor hook
that increases the hold on the trachea while lessening the chance of tracheal tube bulb tear during
tube placement. Designed and built specifically for the requirement of deploying Canadian Forces
Medics, the overall size and weight has been reduced for ease of storage. You no longer need to
delay care by bending needles and risking tip breakage with improvised hooks.
