Navigation and Electronics System for Target Observation and Ranging
NESTOR is a handheld system which was developed to make a target
observation and localization over great ranges possible at day as well
as at night.
NESTOR offers an intelligent application of the following functions:
IR channel: 384x288 or 640x512
Visual Day Sight channel
Image Fusion Day & Night (optional)
Eyesafe Laser Range Finder
Digital Magnetic Compass
Integrated GPS Receiver
Control of the main functions is performed by means of the buttons on top
of the housing. Additional functions are controlled by a user friendly menu,
which makes a quick access and a simple handling possible with a minimum
of training.
The bi-ocular display makes the illustration of the day and night image, of the
day/night mixed picture as well as of the overlaid target co-ordinate information.
