One of the predominant concepts in the design of the Spartan system is to work with the wearer offering; convenience and ease of use without being over complicated. Second Element®, drawing from both civil and military expertise designed the Spartan system to offer an unparalleled feature set with high adaptability to the conditions it is being used in. Tekstikehys: Jacket Features Manufactured to the highest technical standards, the Spartan system represents a true advance in outerwear design. The Spartan jacket includes many features which are specifically designed with the modern soldier in mind. With a 3~4 length design, multiple adjustment points and the potential to integrate various insulating mid layers the Spartan jacket offers the highest levels of comfort combined with durability. Key to the success of the Spartan system is the combination of a highly breathable and quiet outer fabric with re-enforcement in potential wear areas, such as the shoulders and the elbows and knees. Openings have been left which allow the user to insert foam sheets under the re-enforcement panels. Under-arm zips allow venting and access to the internal pockets; they include YKK® splashguard zips to ensure that water does not enter. Tekstikehys: The 3D mountain hood of the Spartan Jacket is designed to allow it to be stowed into itself quickly and easily without the time consuming aspects of traditional roll away designs.
